At Peaceful Pastures Ranch, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, our mission is rooted in the belief that horses and humans can heal together. We provide lifelong sanctuary for rescued equines and offer trauma-informed therapeutic programs for veterans, first responders, and their families.

 

Our ranch serves a dual purpose:

 

• Equine Rescue & Sanctuary: We provide a forever home for horses rescued from neglect, abuse, abandonment, or slaughter-bound situations. These horses are never rehomed or adopted out; they live the rest of their lives in safety, dignity, and peace.

• Equine-Assisted Therapy: Some rescued horses become partners in Equine-Facilitated Psychotherapy and other therapeutic services led by licensed mental health professionals. Both horse and human experience meaningful growth, emotional regulation, and renewed purpose through these connections.

 

We practice and teach equine autonomy, honoring each horse’s choice to participate in sessions or rest, ensuring their emotional well-being is never compromised.
